About this app

Sorry, but after 6 years of good and loyal service, this prompter is now an end-of-life app.
No further development will be made, already paid professional options remains available, but buying them is now impossible.
If you want a much better and more powerful prompter, way easier to use, the only one able to use text files, PDF or Google Docs files: please give "ApdfPrompter" a try (search for "apdfprompter" in Google Play).

Free prompter for Android, ideal for tablet sized devices!

Note: some (professional) functionalities are paid options. Now you know: it's useless to complain and put a bad comment because my app tells you that to save text modification, use the remote option, playlists or recording I'm asking for a small fee to help me maintain this app (thank you).

Please, if you have trouble using this app, please send me an e-mail BEFORE a comment: I ALWAYS answer, I ALWAYS help, and I ALWAYS try to add useful features. And if you paid for premium features and change your mind: send me an e-mail asking for a refund: I ALWAYS refund.

Now much more than a prompter: video recording enabled (paid option), so you can train without an expensive camera, and watch the result using any video player.

Intuitive, mirror mode, Ads-free, full screen mode, etc.

Is able to read plain text files (.txt only NO .doc NO .pdf etc.), but you can also edit your text directly in the prompter (Manage text / Edit text), or copy/paste text from any other application.

Remote control (Bluetooth) available. WARNING: It's a paid option, and two devices may be needed. i.e. you might have to buy the Bluetooth option twice (or you might use a bluetooth keyboard, or an Airturn BT105 or BT106 pedals system).
WARNING (bis): If you chose two different screen sized devices, it's obvious that the displayed text won't be the same. This also means that slave device must synchronize with master => slave's scrolling speed won't be constant, slave MUST speed up and slow down continuously to display (almost) the same first line.

Choose your text file (".txt"), characters size, scroll speed rate, white chars on black background or black on white...

All you'll need, will be to look as confident as TV journalists ;-)

Does what it says on the tin. Wanted an app that just makes text scroll down, as my phone is off to the side of my main camera. The paywall for importing Google docs and using remotes is a little sad, and the menus are a little clunky, but it's also a one-man app that costs less than most candy bars. And if you're smart enough to use a teleprompter, you probably know you can just connect your device to a computer via USB and just get your .docx files that way

What are the purposes for the "mic" and "video" buttons? Yes, they record audio and video; that's a no-brainer. But...what is the purpose within this app since most, if not all smartphones, ALREADY give the capability to record audio and video without paying for them? I assumed that the "mic": (audio) function would allow me to "transcribe" my speech, but I'm apparently mistaken. There should be something in your tutorial video to address these two features and their significance within the app.

Hi. This is a prompter app. A prompter displays text scrolling automatically, so people could read it without having to turn pages. It is often used by TV presenters. So, recording a video helps you training with my app (i.e. you can train without a full equipment : studio, cameras, mirror for the prompter, etc.).

Good job! I used the free version for some projects and was very happy with the app's functionality. I purchased the paid version mainly for two reasons: a) Using playlists and b) The capability to save text edits on the prompter itself. In future projects we'll be trying out the other features. Congrats on allowing to change text size on-screen. Very helpful. Also that size is kept between files and even if app is closed and re opened. Play-Pause on-screen is very helpful too. Feature request: I'd like to be able to change the button menu size. I know a larger menu bar would cover some of the scrolling text so, maybe you can define transparent "hot" areas on the screen for some functions. For example, left and right bars could be Previous and Next file in a Playlist OR Swipe left and right could work too. btw: I would like to enable Alpha WiFi mode. Please inform what I need to do. Thanks! btw: I hadn't mentioned the other functionality I like very much: customization of the Bluetooth Remote. It's easy to do and it allows me to use an unknown remote with no problems.
